Temecula 4th of July Extravaganza
Every year on the Fourth of July, Temecula puts on one of the biggest Independence Day celebrations in Southwest Riverside County — a morning parade through Old Town followed by a full afternoon and evening of entertainment, food, and fireworks at Ronald Reagan Sports Park.
The Parade: Steps off at 10:00 AM from the intersection of Old Town Front Street & Second Street and heads north through Old Town. Arrive by 9:00–9:30 AM for a good curbside spot — Front Street and the surrounding blocks close to traffic that morning. Free parking is typically available at the Old Town Parking Garage on Mercedes Street, just south of the Civic Center.
The Extravaganza: After the parade, the celebration moves to Ronald Reagan Sports Park for the rest of the day. The park opens early and stays open through the fireworks, with live entertainment on the main stage through the afternoon and evening, a free kids’ Fun Zone (inflatables, games, and face painting — historically a small per-wristband fee), and food vendors on site. Fireworks typically launch around 9:00 PM — bring blankets or low chairs and stake out a spot early.
